About me

My name is Joachim Ansorg and I develop JetBrains IDE plugins full-time.

Almost ten years ago I started to work on BashSupport, now ranking 3rd in the official list of top 10 plugins with more than 3 million downloads. That plugin is the winner of the JetBrains IDEAl Plugin Contest 2009-2010. It is available as an Open Source project on GitHub.

This turned out to be a very pleasing experience. I love to build software which works, is smarter than expected and helps people with the work they do.

I’m living in the south of Germany at the border to Switzerland and France.
